Your NFC Players Of The Week

Another week of NFL games and another set of players who excelled in their games, standing out among their peers at the same position, and recognized for their efforts. Here are the NFC Players of the Week.

NFC Offensive Player of the Week: Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton. Newton led the Panthers to a 21-17 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles, leading the Panthers to score 21 points in the fourth quarter for the victory. Cam was 16-of-22 in the fourth quarter for 201 passing yards and two touchdowns in the victory. Superman made his presence known once again.

NFC Defensive Player of the Week: Aaron Donald, defensive tackle for the Los Angeles Rams. Donald was explosive in the victory over the 49ers. He had nine total tackles, with six of these being for a loss, along with five quarterback hits and four sacks. The four sacks gave him eight for the season.

NFC Special Teams Player of the Week: Giorgio Tavecchio, kicker for the Atlanta Falcons. Tavecchio, only playing for the Falcons due to the injury to normal kicker Matt Bryant, made two extra points and three field goals, including the what turned out to be the game winning 56-yard field goal in the fourth quarter.
