Mahomes Has Another Big Game

The Kansas City Chiefs are now 6-1 after easily taking care of the Cincinnati Bengals, 45-10, on Sunday Night Football. The lone loss that has come across the Chiefs plate to New England was even a shootout where the Chiefs could have easily won if there was another quarter to play.

On top of the Chiefs taking care of their opponents so far this season, quarterback Patrick Mahomes has been lights out. With his four touchdown passes on Sunday night, Mahomes now has 22 touchdown passes for the season through the first eight games of his career, breaking the NFL record of 21 touchdown passes through the first eight games of one’s career set by Kurt Warner.

Mahomes also has his eyes on the single-season record for touchdown passes for the Chiefs. Currently the record is 30 touchdown passes by Len Dawson in 1964 and with nine games left to beat the record, there is a pretty good chance that will fall as well.

The best part though of the play of Mahomes and the Chiefs victory on Sunday night, Mahomes did it in front of his father.
