Apple Will Help Saints

Have the New Orleans Saints gotten the secondary help they need? There is a good chance, as the Saints have traded for New York Giants cornerback Eli Apple. In return, the Giants receive a 4th-round pick in 2019 and a 7th-round pick in 2020.

Apple was drafted in the first round as the tenth overall pick in 2016. For his career, he has played in 30 regular season games for the Giants, having one interception, 120 tackles and 20 passes defended.

The Saints currently sit at 5-1 and at the top of the NFC South, but currently rank last in the league in passes defended and last in the league in interceptions (they have zero) for the season.

Apple should be able to help the secondary out as the year moves forward.
